This is the Final chapter I have written so far. After this, tomorrow or Sunday I will do an anime Scribbles. Be warned, there is some strong language towards the end. I wouldn’t write it in unless I felt it was appropriate or in character. I am going to write more, now that certain projects are slowing down. As well as return to the novel and the rewrite of Down to Earth.

Mouretsu Pirates Afterword

Hey everyone, here’s a somewhat proper post. Since I’ve been doing mainly Scribbles lately, these have really been pushed behind. After my project is done this week, I’m hoping to do at least 1 proper post every week (or so), so thanks for sticking with us. I’ll try to keep these posts away from anime, as I know readers of this blog tend to visit for the other topics as well.

I haven’t done an Afterword in awhile and I just finished this little wonderful series recently, so I’ll have a go at it. As per tradition from wiki,

In the far future where space travel has become the norm, Marika Kato is a high school girl living a rather ordinary life as a member of the space yacht club and a part-time job at a high-class retro cafĂ©. One day, Marika learns of her recently deceased father, Gonzaemon, who is revealed to have been a Space Pirate who performed legal acts of piracy under the letter of marque. In order for her father’s ship, the Bentenmaru, to continue legal operation, Marika, Gonzaemon’s direct descendant, is chosen to become the ship’s new captain, thus beginning her life as a Space Pirate.

The main theme of the movie, elegant and worthy of the planetary romance that is John Carter. The movie was likely the best ‘hero’ action film to come out this year, barring a few summer blockbusters, depending on how good Battleship is. This is a movie better than the Hunger Games and is, for me, a day one special edition purchase. Something only Sucker Punch and Tron Legacy have also accomplished.

Another week, another post. Back again with another segment on The World, the fantasy project me and Xewleer have been working on and off on since 2004~ish. Today’s topic is a little short story that is in an extremely early development stage (trying very hard to not make this another essay like last weeks) and actually I haven’t quite worked out much of it at all.
